Vijaya Kumar (known as IVK) is Co-Founder and CTO of Crayon Data, a Big data analytics product company at Singapore with a development centre in Chennai. He is also an active member of Indian Angel Network, a syndicate for early stage capital to invest in the start-up companies, in emerging areas of technology.

He consults in the areas of business strategy and transformation through new age technologies covering the areas of embedded systems, Cloud services, Big Data analytics and Mobility. Also, he is one of the co-founders of India Innovation Labs, a start-up in the field of augmented reality and Robotics, which focuses on the Digital media and tourism sector.

In the recent past, he was CTO of Wipro’s IT businesses and his responsibilities included Technology Strategy Planning; Governance of centres of excellence, Innovation Process & external innovation, Technical Stream Management and Technology alliances with industry and educational institutions.

He is actively associated with many technical and social innovation forums in India and abroad. He co-chairs the India Innovation summit of CII and serves on the jury panels of various innovation and design forums covering both technical and social innovation.

He holds a BE degree in Electronics & Communications engineering and an advanced leadership certification for senior executives from McGill University in collaboration with Lancaster University, UK and IIM, Bangalore.

He has been with ICT industry for the last 25 plus years and is one of the leading experts in innovation management and advanced technologies incubation in India.
