Robin van Puyenbroeck is purpose-driven leader in international business development and partnerships strategy with a background in law, finance, marketing. He is a highly effective networker with ability to transform relationships into business results. He has a solid track record of building successful partnerships and of bringing inspiring and innovative perspectives to business challenges. He is recognized for his entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen, and as a creative and out-of-the-box thinker. He is also an experienced non-executive director in various nonprofit organizations.
Robin currently serves at WTCA's Executive Director, Business Development, where he is responsible for growing the organization's global footprint and supporting WTCA's mission of promoting international trade and investment.
Previously he served as Vice President, Business Development, at Ethan Allen Global where he focused on global business development & strategy, contract & hospitality, EMEA markets, licensing and corporate alliances & partnerships.
In recognition of his expertise in facilitating global networks and partnerships, Mr. van Puyenbroeck was in 2011 appointed pro-bono Under-Secretary-General of EUCLID, an international inter-governmental organization with a university charter serving diplomats of its Participating States.
For many years Mr. van Puyenbroeck worked as an international business and partnerships consultant, counseling clients on strategic communications, political and organizational strategies as well as business transactions that require a deep appreciation of markets and geopolitical context. Leveraging his expertise in the Middle East and Central Asia he advised a wide range of organizations, from emerging market corporations to policy think tanks, on strategic reviews, investment promotion campaigns, market introductions and business development.
Prior to his consulting work Mr. van Puyenbroeck worked with ING Group. At ING he held progressive leadership roles within the company's Global Management Programme with broad experiences in business development, staff function, client relationship management, finance and project management.
